Job summary

SKILLED VETS in Milpitas, CA is seeking an experienced Threat Hunter to proactively identify advanced threats across our environment. You will help establish and mature a threat hunting program, create repeatable processes, playbooks, and hunting methodologies.

This role requires hands-on work within a Microsoft security ecosystem, with primary tooling in CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, and Devo. Onsite four days a week, 6-month contract, pay $65/hour, with contract-to-hire potential.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Threat Hunter to proactively identify advanced persistent threats and sophisticated adversary activity across our environment. The ideal candidate will bring the expertise to establish and mature a threat hunting program from the ground up, including the development of repeatable processes, playbooks, and hunting methodologies. A key focus of this role is maintaining a strong feedback loop into detection engineering - translating hunting findings into durable detections that reduce future risk. Candidates should be comfortable operating within a Microsoft security ecosystem and have hands-on experience with CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, and Devo as primary tooling platforms.

• Onsite in Milpitas four days a week, with some flexibility when needed.

Pay: $65/hour
