Job summary

Cherokee Strategic Edge is seeking a Threat Finance Analyst to support USSOCOM operations in a dynamic government contracting environment. The role focuses on liaising between SOF components and external financial capability offices to strengthen financial operational effectiveness.

The candidate will perform open-source intelligence and advanced data analyses to detect anomalous financial activities, map threat networks, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 8 years of financial, accounting, or business experience including support to special operations.
• Most recent 4 years within USSOCOM enterprise.
• Knowledge of USG funding mechanisms, programs, and fiscal policies.
• Analytical skills to identify patterns, networks, and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support and track disbursing operations for Theater Special Operation Commands (TSOCs).
• Perform deep OSINT and data analysis to identify suspicious financial activities.
• Review, process, and audit financial workbooks and documents for accuracy.
• Analyze complex data sets and develop actionable recommendations.
• Analyze specific foreign financial activities.
• Aggregate and fuse multi-modal transactional data and identity.
• Prepare and integrate financial data from all sources.
• Understand payment relationships, revenue-generation, and money-laundering methods.
• Apply statistical techniques including flows analysis and visualization.
• Query and analyze large datasets from Bank Secrecy Act data, wires, crypto, and commercial data.
• Identify anomalous activities indicating potential links to illicit activity.
• Use financial intelligence tools to triage vast information.
• Map networks of threat actors and key nodes using financial data.
• Conduct pattern-of-life analysis on individuals or groups.
• Perform link analysis to connect entities and transactions.
• Collaborate with HUMINT, SIGINT to fuse all-source financial picture.
• Brief senior leaders and partners on financial threats and disruption opportunities.
• Liaise with Treasury, FinCEN, law enforcement, and international partners.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
