Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Threat Detection and Incident Response Intern for Summer 2026 in Austin, Texas. This is a full-time position focused on improving security measures while working closely with experienced team members on innovative projects.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about internet security, have a strong understanding of security protocols, and be prepared to work in-office 3–5 days a week.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Incident Response Lifecycle.
• Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week summer internship.
• In office 3–5 days a week in the Austin office.

Responsibilities

• Execute a specialized security project over 12 weeks.
• Work with Incident Response Engineers to triage and respond to security alerts.
• Present your security project to the entire company.

Skills

Understanding of attacker Tools, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)

Understanding of operating systems, SaaS applications, CI/CD

Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language

Demonstrated critical thinking skills

Curiosity and ability to get things done
