Job summary

Fortified Health Security is seeking a Threat Defense Engineer to engineer, implement, and mature security technologies in a multi-client MSSP environment, focusing on SIEM, EDR/MDR, IoMT, DLP, cloud, and network security.

You will lead detections, telemetry, and log management, troubleshoot escalations, automate workflows, and collaborate with clients, security operations, incident response, and vendors to deliver scalable, reliable security services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or related field with 2+ years MSSP/enterprise SOC experience.
• 3+ years hands-on in enterprise security platforms and professional cybersecurity.
• Experience with multi-tenant/security environments and HIPAA/NIST awareness.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and optimize SIEM, EDR/MDR, cloud, and network security technologies.
• Develop detections, correlation rules, and telemetry quality improvements.
• Support onboarding, implement configurations, and health reviews with clients.
• Troubleshoot complex security platform issues and automate workflows.
• Collaborate with SOC, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, and vendors.
