Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Threat Assessment Engineer to lead threat modeling on our Environmental Threat Assessment team and mentor junior analysts, shaping security across our global infrastructure.

You will translate deep technical research into actionable requirements for Product and Enterprise Security, collaborating with Product/Engineering stakeholders and driving agentic tooling improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of threat modeling and security architecture.
• Understanding of threat actor tactics and analytical skills to correlate data from multiple sources.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks such as Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE; familiarity with OWASP Top 10.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security and cloud architecture fundamentals for SaaS/PaaS.
• Proficiency in analyzing logs from various security tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A related technical degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling for infrastructure and application-level scenarios.
• Utilize threat intelligence, incident response, and detection telemetry to correlate research and manage top threats.
• Analyze logs to identify gaps in coverage and hunt for bypasses across business units.
• Engage executive stakeholders to translate assessments into actionable recommendations.
• Drive uplifts from security incidents with Product and Enterprise Security teams and act as SME for design.
• Design and orchestrate agentic tooling for analysis capabilities and projects.
• Provide strategic threat insights to leadership in partnership with Threat Intelligence.
• Collaborate with architects and Cyber Security teams to design alerting against realized threats.
