Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Threat Assessment Engineer to guide the Environmental Threat Assessment team and mentor junior analysts. You will shape security posture by translating research into actionable requirements for product and security partners, driving automation and agentic tooling.

You’ll work across cyber security operations to model threats, analyze data, and present strategic recommendations to executives, influencing product design and defenses globally.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of threat modeling and security architecture experience.
• Strong understanding of threat actor tactics and offensive strategies.
• Experience using threat modeling frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, STRIDE, and knowledge of OWASP Top 10.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security and SaaS/PaaS threats.
• Proficiency in analyzing logs from security tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• A related technical degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling for infrastructure and application-level scenarios.
• Use threat intelligence, incident response telemetry, tooling, and risk signals to correlate research and manage Salesforce’s top threats program.
• Analyze endpoint, network, and security tool logs to identify gaps or bypasses.
• Engage executives to translate assessments into actionable recommendations for product and security partners.
• Lead uplifts from security incidents with Product and Enterprise Security teams; serve as SME during design.
• Design and orchestrate new agentic tooling for analysis projects and workflows.
• Provide threat insights to security leadership in partnership with Threat Intelligence.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security architects and data science to design alerts against realized threats.
