Job summary

Jobot in South Texas is seeking a Threading Production Supervisor to lead a high-volume OCTG threading operation on two lines and four CNC threaders. This hands-on, shop-floor role requires guiding a 25-50 person production team in a 24/6 schedule, driving quality, safety and throughput.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years OCTG threading leadership, deep knowledge of semi-premium connections, API 5CT and premium/semi-premium thread inspection.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily OCTG threading operations across two lines and four CNC threaders.
• Lead, coach and hold accountable a 25-50 person production team in a 24/6 operation.
• Oversee GBCD/semi-premium threading operations and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Monitor threading quality using gauges, optical comparators and inspection equipment.
• Drive throughput, reduce downtime and improve cycle times.
• Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance to troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor production metrics and identify efficiency improvements.
• Conduct safety meetings and maintain a strong safety culture.

Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 per year

A leading OCTG manufacturer is seeking an experienced Threading Production Supervisor to lead a high-volume OCTG threading operation. This is a hands-on, shop-floor leadership role for someone with deep OCTG threading experience who can lead teams, solve production issues, and drive quality, safety and throughput.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise daily OCTG threading operations across two lines and four CNC threaders.
• Lead, coach and hold accountable a 25-50 person production team in a high-volume, 24/6 operation.
• Oversee GBCD and/or semi-premium threading operations and ensure quality requirements are consistently met.
• Monitor threading quality using gauges, optical comparators and API/premium thread inspection equipment.
• Drive production throughput, cycle-time improvement and downtime reduction.
• Work closely with Quality and Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Monitor production metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Conduct safety meetings, address hazards and maintain a strong safety culture.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of OCTG threading leadership experience.
• Drill pipe experience alone will not be considered.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of semi-premium connections; GBCD strongly preferred.
• Experience with CNC threading machines; Mori experience is a plus.
• Experience supervising large teams in a 24/6, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of API 5CT and premium/semi-premium thread inspection and quality requirements.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach, motivate and hold teams accountable.
• Willingness to permanently relocate to South Texas; relocation assistance provided.
