National Oilwell Varco is seeking an Inspection Technician for our Houston facility. You will perform visual, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, electromagnetic, and ultrasonic inspections per customer specifications and procedures to ensure quality.

You will set up and calibrate equipment, generate inspection reports, and communicate any production interruptions to supervisors. Flexibility for overtime and weekends, plus proficiency with MS Office, are required for daily quality checks and

This includes, but is not limited to visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, liquid penetrant testing, electromagnetic inspection, and ultrasonics inspection techniques .

Responsibilities

• Follow customer specifications, industry recommended practices, and company procedures to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform all assignments, duties and tasks in a safe manner while following standard operating procedures.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain critical control points to ensure excellent process and product quality.
• Set up and calibrate equipment according to work order.
• Communicate and coordinate all pertinent information to appropriate Supervisor/ Manager to ensure effective and safe operations.
• Performing quality checks throughout production runs.
• Inform the Supervisor/Manager or designee of any interruptions or irregularities in the production line.
• Follow all Company HSE, QMS policies and procedures and report to the appropriate personnel of any violations of these policies or procedures.
• Accurately create and maintain inspection and production reports as required.
• Perform other various job duties that may be required by the Supervisor/ Manager or their designee.
