Job summary

Merck’s US Immunology team seeks a Thought Leader Marketing Liaison (TLML) Associate Director to align advocacy, platform messaging, and speaker programs with brand objectives. This role focuses on national and regional KOL engagement and compliant congress participation across multiple regions.

The position emphasizes developing advocacy plans, coordinating with medical education teams, and informing brand strategy through KOL insights across the US IBD landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MS/PharmD preferred.
• 5–8 years in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or field medical engagement.
• At least 2 years of IBD experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining scientific relationships with KOLs, speakers

Responsibilities

• Advocacy Development: identify and map national and regional scientific leaders and emerging experts.
• SL/KOL Engagement Execution: engage with SLs for congress participation and advisory activities.
• Speaker Bureau Development & Readiness: identify and train US IBD speakers for approved content.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: align SL needs with field teams.
• Compliance & Governance: ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.
