Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated Surgical Physician Assistant to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, New Jersey. The PA will assist in thoracic surgeries, manage day-to-day clinical needs, and mentor PA students and surgery residents.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant program.
• Active Physician Assistant License (New Jersey).
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Certification.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in thoracic surgeries and perform accurate history and physical assessments.
• Manage surgical conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and safely prescribe medications (in accordance with NJ regulations).
• Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care and education to patients and families.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and mentor PA students and surgery residents.
• Engage in clinical research and educational programs to advance PA practice.
