Job summary

Atlantic Health Chilton Surgical Associates in Pompton Plains, NJ seeks a Physician Assistant to contribute to preoperative assessments, assist in surgeries, and manage postoperative care. The PA will join a multispecialty surgical team with a Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities include H&Ps, ordering tests, interpreting results, prescribing medications, and updating treatment plans under surgeon guidance. NJ licensure and PA certification are required, ACLS/BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Experience working in the OR preferred.
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Assist in surgical procedures under attending surgeon guidance.
• Manage postoperative care and patient recovery.
• Perform H&Ps and review lab/radiology results.
• Prescribe and renew medications; develop and adjust treatment plans.
