Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Physician Assistant to support Thoracic Surgery across multiple sites including Anaheim and Irvine. Under physician supervision, you will perform exams, assist in procedures, order tests, develop and monitor care plans, and coordinate referrals within the surgical services network.

The role requires PA national certification, California RN/NP pathways are acceptable, and ACLS/BLS with DEA registration. Experience in thoracic surgery is preferred.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant National Certificate required at time of hire.
• California RN license with NP Furnishing Number or Nurse Practitioner credentials.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• DEA registration must be obtained.
• MSN preferred for NP pathway.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services under physician supervision in Thoracic Surgery.
• Perform physical examinations and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement a patient care plan and follow-up.
• Coordinate referrals to appropriate facilities and resources.
• Assist in surgical procedures as needed and manage perioperative care.
