The University of California - Los Angeles Health in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Physician Assistant for Cardiothoracic Surgery to provide comprehensive care under medical director supervision. You will assist in the operating room and coordinate patient care throughout hospitalization.

This role requires CA PA license, national certification, and CT surgery experience; strong assessment, teaching, and communication skills, plus ability to work varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CA PA license and national certification.
• Graduated from an accredited PA program; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' CT surgery experience; CT surgical PA experience required.
• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read and follow physician orders, policies and procedures.
• Willingness to work varying shifts.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the operating room for cardiothoracic procedures.
• Coordinate patient care across the hospitalization continuum.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Deliver detailed discharge instructions to facilitate smooth transitions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team.
