Job summary

Indiana University Health University Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the General Thoracic Surgery Service. This full-time role includes clinic coverage, preoperative evaluations, postoperative follow-up, and active participation in robotic-assisted thoracic procedures.

The APP will function across outpatient, inpatient, and operating room settings with a focus on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required for the APP role.
• ACNP, FNP, PA certification required for eligibility.
• Experienced or new grads with thoracic/cardiac surgical exposure are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic coverage with preop evaluations and postoperative follow-up.
• Inpatient rounds, discharge planning, and coordination of care.
• Operating Room support as first assist with robotic thoracic procedures.
• Deliver safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team.
