Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiothoracic Team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced CT APP with a passion for delivering superior patient care in cardiothoracic surgery.

Join a dynamic team providing first assist in surgeries, EVH proficiency preferred, and a collaborative care model supported by Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to streamline documentation and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Cardiothoracic APP experience.
• Proficiency with Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• First assist in cutting-edge cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
• Admit and coordinate inpatient care from admission to discharge.
• Collaborate with Cardiothoracic Surgeons, APPs, nurses and specialists.
• Utilize Epic EMR and Ambience AI to streamline documentation and patient flow.
