Job summary

The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville invites applications for a Thoracic Surgeon at the non-tenure accruing levels of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor to join our growing program in Northeast Florida.

We seek a thoracic surgeon with expertise in general thoracic surgery and thoracic oncology, experienced in minimally invasive approaches including robotic surgery, and committed to multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent and must have completed an accredited thoracic surgery training program.
• Florida Medical License eligibility required.
• Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join our thoracic surgical team as a Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor at UF Health Jacksonville.
• Provide care across the full spectrum of general thoracic surgery and thoracic oncologic procedures.
• Engage in multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care and mentor trainees.
• Lead development of thoracic surgery and oncology services in the region.
