Job summary

The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville Department of Surgery invites applications for a faculty Thoracic Surgeon at the non-tenure accruing levels of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor to join our growing surgical program in Northeast Florida. We are seeking a thoracic surgeon with expertise across the full spectrum of general thoracic surgery and thoracic surgical oncology.

Candidates should have experience with minimally invasive surgical approaches, including

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a MD/DO or equivalent and must have completed an accredited thoracic surgery training program.
• Must be able to obtain a Florida Medical License.
• Eligible candidates should be board certified/eligible from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Join a growing surgical program in Northeast Florida as a Thoracic Surgeon at the non-tenure accruing Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor level.
• Provide expertise across the full spectrum of general thoracic surgery and thoracic oncologic care.
• Demonstrate experience with minimally invasive approaches, including robotic surgery.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care and help shape the growth of thoracic surgery and oncology services.
