The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville Department of Surgery invites applications for a faculty Thoracic Surgeon at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor to join our growing program in Northeast Florida.

We seek a thoracic surgeon with expertise in general thoracic surgery and thoracic oncology, skilled in minimally invasive and robotic approaches, and committed to multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent and completion of an accredited thoracic surgery training program.
• Ability to obtain a Florida Medical License.
• Board certification or eligibility in American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Join our growing thoracic surgical program at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor.
• Provide the full spectrum of general thoracic surgery and thoracic oncology care.
• Demonstrate expertise in minimally invasive approaches, including robotic surgery; contribute to multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to expand access to advanced thoracic surgical and cancer care.
