Job summary

UW Health in Madison is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our Thoracic Surgery Service. You will provide inpatient and outpatient care for patients with thoracic illnesses, performing chest tube placements and related procedures, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that includes RNs, APPs, and surgeons.

The role requires advanced degrees (NP or PA path) and Wisconsin licensure with board certification.

Qualifications

• NP path requires Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program.
• PA path requires Bachelor’s or Master’s in PA from an accredited program.
• Licenses and board certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care for thoracic conditions.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube placement/removal and thoracentesis.
• Collaborate with RNs, APPs, and surgeons in the Thoracic Surgery Service.
