Job summary

Prysmian Group in Windham, CT, is seeking a third shift Production Supervisor to oversee one or more major manufacturing functions and ensure the efficient use of equipment and manpower to meet production schedules and deliver a quality product.

You will supervise hourly associates, plan shift work, ensure materials and training are provided, monitor safety and performance, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervision experience in manufacturing.
• Strong project management and supervision skills in a team-based environment.
• Solid manufacturing background with ability to interpret product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision over hourly associates and coordination with various other departments.
• Plan shift work and production using up-to-date process and equipment knowledge.
• Ensure associates have materials, instructions, machine availability, and training to meet production requirements.
• Observe performance for efficiency, safety, and waste reduction; drive continuous improvement.
• Keep shift records on attendance, absences, and overtime; manage first-step grievances within shift.
• Ensure manpower, raw materials, and equipment are on hand to produce high-quality products efficiently.
• Monitor machinery usage to ensure safeguards are in place on production equipment.
• Perform other tasks requested by direct management.
