Job summary

Monti, Inc. is hiring a Material Handler to move, store and manage materials within the warehouse and plant. You will operate a forklift, multitask, and track deliveries with attention to safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma and forklift certification, with prior warehouse or shipping experience. You will help maintain equipment, follow 6S standards, and support daily operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Moves products around the warehouse using forklift.
• Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all work stations.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operates forklift in a safe manner while being aware of surroundings (ex. pedestrians, other forklifts, equipment).
• Multitasks to fulfill all requests in a timely manner.
• Identifies and locates the correct areas to deliver products in the warehouse.
• Keeps all material handling equipment in the best condition by calling the Maintenance Team for repairs and regular preventative maintenance.
• Moves products around the warehouse using forklift.
• Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all work stations.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
• Routine, repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs., occasional, heavy lifting, and pushing / pulling 10 lbs. regularly, 1 to 10 hours per day.
• Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
• Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
• Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding area.
