Fairwater is seeking a Third Assistant Engineer for Gulf Coast operations aboard our vessels. This role supports engine room teams, monitors systems, and assists with routine maintenance and watchkeeping to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The ideal candidate holds STCW and national engine-room credentials, speaks English, and is prepared to work in a dynamic maritime environment with union affiliation to AMO.

Qualifications

• STCW and national qualifications required for Third Assistant Engineer.
• ENG for shipboard operations and safety procedures.
• Must be a Qualified Member of the Engine Department.

• III/4- Rating Forming Part of an Engineering Watch
• III/5- Able Seafarer Engine
• V1-1- Advanced Oil Tanker Cargo Operation
• V1-1- Advanced Chemical Tanker Cargo Operation
• VI/1- Basic Safety Training
• VI/2- Survival craft, Rescue Boats
• VI/3- Advance Fire Fighting
• VI/4- Medical First Aid Provider
• VI/6-Vessel Personnel Designated with Security Duties/ Security Awareness

NATIONAL Requirements (Minimum)

• Third Assistant Engineer (Of Motor Propelled Vessels)
• Qualified Member of the Engine Department
• Lifeboatman
• Tankerman Assistant Limited to Dangerous Liquid Cargoes or Tankerman PIC- Limited to DL Cargoes Steward's Department (F.H)
