Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a Quality Engineering intern to join the beta testing for ThinkPad hardware and software. You will work with the Beta Program Manager to identify issues, troubleshoot, and support users testing new devices.

This hands-on internship is ideal for a student with PC repair or IT help desk experience, expanding knowledge of PC hardware, Windows, and drivers while collaborating with a global engineering team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree with sophomore standing or higher.
• Familiarity with the Windows operating system.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common PC hardware and software issues.
• Clear communication and ability to work with users and engineering teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Test beta systems, identify hardware and software issues, and document findings.
• Investigate PC problems, prioritize defects, and provide clear steps to reproduce issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to reproduce problems and support debugging.
• Verify fixes with testing teams and confirm issue resolution.
• Support beta participants in troubleshooting and communicating feedback to the team.
• Maintain organized records of testing activities, reported issues, and follow-up actions.
