Job summary

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field ( Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Eng., Physics, Chemistry )
- 3+ years in lab with vacuum systems (cryo, turbo, mechanical)
- Experience depositing thin films via vapor deposition
- Experience with CW and pulsed lasers, laser optics and diagnostics
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q clearance
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain thin film deposition systems for research, prototyping and production
- Execute complex deposition designs including thick coatings
- Characterize produced films with various techniques
- Calibrate and align equipment; implement modifications as needed
- Prepare substrates and troubleshoot vacuum systems
- Oversee equipment contracts and vendor support on site
