Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho is seeking a hands-on engineer to develop and optimize semiconductor assembly processes, leveraging AI/LLM/ML to boost worker productivity and yield.

You will lead process baselines, analyze data, work with suppliers, and drive cost improvements while ensuring quality and reliability across high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering or related field.
  • Experience in process development or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, 8D, or failure analysis techniques.
  • AI/LLM/ML familiarity.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve assembly process issues using structured methodologies.
  • Develop, optimize, and qualify new or modified process baselines.
  • Lead yield improvement, cost reduction, and productivity initiatives.
  • Coordinate process, equipment, and material evaluations.
  • Support audits, SPC/FDC, and site-to-site portability.
