Keysight Technologies is seeking a Thin Film Engineering Intern to support process development and manufacturing improvement in a thin film microfabrication environment. You will gain hands-on experience with deposition, lithography, and fixture design while working with engineers, technicians, and operators to develop robust processes.

The role emphasizes CAD-driven design, documentation, and collaboration across teams to implement tooling improvements and ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with mechanical design principles through coursework or projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Interest in manufacturing engineering, automation, microfabrication, or precision equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn Thin Film manufacturing processes including deposition, lithography, electroplating, dry etching, or laser.
• Design and prototype substrate holding fixtures and tooling.
• Use CAD software to create mechanical designs and drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to identify and solve tooling challenges.
• Support fabrication, testing, and validation of new fixture designs.
• Evaluate fixture performance and suggest improvements.
