Job summary

Techneeds LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II - Coating to operate thin film coating machines and sputter deposition systems for glass substrates used in displays. You will follow detailed procedures, maintain equipment, and document process data in a fast-paced clean room environment.

You will collaborate with process engineers to optimize coating processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards, with a Monday-Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or coating environment or photolithography Machinist or machine operating experience.
• Strong computer skills for data entry and analysis.
• Experience with optics manufacturing or photolithography preferred.
• Clean room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate coating chambers with precise configurations for sputter deposition on glass substrates.
• Capture, analyze, and report data related to yields, efficiencies, and deviations to maintain high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with process engineers to enhance process performance and troubleshoot equipment or process issues.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper cleanliness and organization within the work area.
• Record data accurately and ensure training documentation is current and compliant.
• Detect and elevate any improper operation, malfunction, or defective materials.

In this role, you will operate thin film coating machines, including sputter deposition systems and vacuum chambers, to produce glass substrates used in touch screens and visual displays. Your expertise in physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating, along with your ability to follow detailed procedures, perform equipment maintenance, and document process data, will be essential to ensure consistent quality and efficiency. You'll work closely with process engineers to refine manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and uphold rigorous quality standards in a fast-paced, clean room environment.
