Job summary

Boeing EnCore in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Thermwood Programmer to develop CNC programs from engineering drawings, revise programs with new revisions, and generate G-code for soft tooling using Mastercam.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure accurate, timely production, read drawings, select tools, and optimize toolpaths for quality parts. Must be US work authorized; base pay shown.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Thermwood Programmer to develop CNC programs using released engineering drawings, revise programs following new revision releases, and create programs for soft tooling. This role works closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to support accurate, efficient, and timely production.

• Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings
• Read and understand CNC G-code
• Select appropriate cutting tools for optimum accuracy and efficiency of part requirements
• Generate G-code using Mastercam software
• Optimize operation toolpaths and cutting tools
• Use problem-solving skills to resolve programming issues
• Meet deadlines and work effectively under rush delivery situations
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing staff
• Revise programs as new drawing or design revisions are released

General Qualifications

Education:

• A High School Diploma is desired.
• Trade or Technical School is desired.

Experience:

• 0-3 years’ experience using CAM software

Skills:

• Ability to understand engineering drawings
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to use CAM software
• Strong teamwork skills
• Knowledge of cutting tools
• PLM software experience preferred
