Job summary

EnCore, a Boeing subsidiary, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes in accordance with product specifications and aerospace standards.

Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, coordinates manufacturing launches for new or revised products, with a focus on process improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training.

Qualifications

  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in understanding a variety of fabrication manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of CATIA, AutoCAD or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering experience desired.

  • Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
  • Implements improvements to manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Prepares and presents plans for deployment including training of team members.
  • Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow and equipment.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products and evaluates results.
  • Maintains and protects the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications, and customer, quality, and aerospace standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Priorities include process improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training.

  • Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
  • Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members.
  • Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of building and equipment.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
  • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
  • Monitors project tracking status to ensure projects are completed accurately and timely.
  • Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
  • Maintains a safe, secure and legal work environment; adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains and protects the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned or requested.

General Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; degree in a related engineering discipline preferred, with Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience desired.

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of manufacturing engineering experience

Skills:

  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in understanding a variety offabrication manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of related software including CATIA, AUTOCAD or equivalent.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to convey information to production personnel, engineers, and senior management
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, data-driven approach
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools for mechanical assembly, disassembly, adjustment, and troubleshooting tasks
  • Ability to use engineering knowledge to analyze tasks, evaluate conditions, and support effective execution of job responsibilities
