Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG owned company, seeks a Thermostat Hardware Strategic Sourcing Manager to manage supplier costs, contracts, and roadmaps. You will lead sourcing activities and collaborate with Hardware Engineering, Program Management and Quality to ensure on-time, high-quality parts throughout product lifecycles.

Position requires in-office presence in Lehi, UT on a hybrid schedule (Mon–Thu in the office, Fri work-from-home).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Operations, SCM, or Engineering.
• 5-7 years in high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing.
• 5-7 years direct experience in supplier/supply chain management.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams in a consumer electronics company.
• Familiarity with world-class sourcing methods and tools.
• Strong analytical skills including cost modeling and quotation analysis.
• Ability to solve problems and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier sourcing and selection for assigned programs.
• Develop supplier roadmaps and ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Negotiate agreements to secure best pricing, terms and service.
• Collaborate with Hardware Eng, PM, Quality, and ops teams.
• Manage ramp plans, production plans, and forecast with suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance through reviews.
