AmbaFlex is seeking a Production Supervisor for thermoplastics injection molding to lead daily operations, ensure 6S, safety and quality, and meet customer commitments.

You will manage planning, changeovers, staffing, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in injection molding manufacturing.
• Minimum 2 years in a production supervisory role.
• Deep knowledge of molding processes, tooling, and materials.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP, spreadsheets, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily injection molding operations and drive continuous improvement.

Thermoplastics Injection Molding Production SupervisorPicture this: the shift begins, the floor is humming, and you take a quick walk-through to confirm 6S readiness, PPE compliance, and machine status. You huddle with your team, align on priorities, verify molds and materials are staged, and lock in the day’s schedule. Throughout the shift, you’re the steady hand guiding safety, quality, people, and performance—removing roadblocks, optimizing changeovers, and ensuring customer commitments are met.At AmbaFlex, you will lead daily injection molding operations while driving continuous improvement and maintaining uncompromising safety and quality. You report to the Injection Mold & Maintenance Manager and act as a key leader within our manufacturing organization.What you’ll doSafety & Workplace OrganizationChampion safe work practices, enforce PPE usage, and uphold LOTO procedures.Keep the area clean, organized, and audit-ready using 6S; proactively surface and resolve safety concerns.Production Planning & ExecutionCoordinate day-to-day molding activities to meet customer demand and business objectives.Plan and prioritize jobs, align machine utilization, schedule mold changeovers, and assign staffing.Track performance in real time and shift resources as needed to hit production targets.Quality & Process ControlEnsure all parts meet defined quality standards and specifications.Monitor cycle times, scrap, rework, downtime, and overall process health.Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.Reporting & Inventory AccuracyMaintain complete and accurate production, downtime, scrap, and labor records.Verify material availability and inventory accuracy.Support ERP/MRP transactions, reporting, and data integrity.Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and support production team members to achieve daily goals.Provide performance feedback and arrange training to build skills.Conduct thorough shift handoffs and communicate priorities, issues, and expectations clearly.Promote a positive, team-oriented culture.QualificationsRequiredAt least 5 years of injection molding manufacturing experience.At least 2 years supervising in a production environment.Deep knowledge of molding processes, tooling, materials, machines, and quality requirements.Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.Computer literacy: spreadsheets, production reporting, ERP/MRP, and inventory management.PreferredTechnical training or education in plastics manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related fields.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, production scheduling, and process troubleshooting.EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required.Additional technical or manufacturing-related education preferred.What success looks likeInspiring leadership and team-building.Clear communication and meticulous attention to detail.A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.Unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.Resilience and focus in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.You should be proficient inSupervisory ExperienceInjection Molding Experience
