Job summary

NYX is seeking a Thermoplastic Injection Molding Equipment Reliability Technician in Livonia, MI to keep our molding operation running at peak performance. You will diagnose electrical faults, rebuild pneumatic systems, and perform precision mechanical repairs across molding machines and plant support equipment.

The role requires 3–4 years of hands-on maintenance with plastic injection molding equipment, strong troubleshooting, and a solid safety record.

Qualifications

• At least 3 to 4 years of hands-on maintenance experience with plastic injection molding equipment used to produce automotive interior components.
• Mechanical aptitude and either a minimum Associate Degree or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Experience in an industrial production environment is desired.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities; flexibility to work a variable schedule and overtime on short notice.
• Solid understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding machines and associated production systems.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic diagnostics and corrective actions.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance; complete work orders and maintenance check documentation.
• Support a wide range of assets: molding machines, robots, thermolators, dryers, conveyors, air compressors, vacuum pumps, building utilities, and other plant systems.
