About the RolePicture this: a molding press pauses mid-cycle. You arrive, listen, observe, and map out a Plan-Do-Check-Act approach. You isolate the fault, swap a worn hydraulic component, validate the repair, and bring production back online—faster and better than before. That rhythm—investigate, fix, improve—is the heartbeat of this role.As our Injection Molding Equipment Reliability Technician, you'll keep complex molding assets, automation, and facility systems running at peak performance through disciplined troubleshooting, preventive care, and precision repair. What You'll TackleInvestigate issues on injection molding machines, robotics, material handling systems, and custom manufacturing cells to determine true root causes of failures.Plan and execute preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to stabilize and elevate performance.Support building and facility maintenance, including critical systems that govern manufacturing facility controls.Use Plan-Do-Check-Act methodologies to troubleshoot on the floor and deploy sustainable solutions that prevent repeat failures.Visually inspect and listen to equipment to pinpoint malfunctions; dismantle assemblies as needed to access problem areas.Measure components for wear or misalignment; remove and replace defective drive mechanism and hydraulic parts.Locate damaged air and hydraulic lines; measure, cut, thread, and install new piping with precision.Start and restart equipment after repairs to validate success, document outcomes, and minimize downtime before returning machines to production.Perform routine and preventive maintenance on primary machines, auxiliary equipment, automation cells, and facility assets.Conduct safety inspections on equipment and the facility; adhere to all safety regulations and recommend mitigations for human and equipment risks.Document all findings during preventive and corrective activities for traceability and continuous improvement.Assist with maintenance tasks related to tooling and production equipment to ensure readiness for applications.Train, mentor, and coach fellow technicians on maintenance and repair best practices.Show regular, punctual attendance—be present, on time, and ready to work each day—and take on additional responsibilities that support the organization’s success. What You BringMechanical troubleshooting expertisePneumatics and hydraulics experience, including troubleshootingIndustrial electrical systems knowledge and hands-on experienceProficiency with hydraulic systems and componentsDirect exposure to injection molding operationsBlueprint reading capabilityTools & Technologies You'll UseHVAC systemsInjection molding machines (Toshiba, Arburg, Engel, Nissei, Sumitomo)Power toolsERP softwareIndustrial robotsIf you thrive on restoring complex machines to like-new performance and preventing the next failure before it happens, this role will feel like home.
