Georg-Fischer in Little Rock, AR is seeking a skilled Injection Molding Technician to operate and troubleshoot molding machines, assemble and changeover molds, and ensure timely production.

You will set up End of Arm tooling, maintain traceability of materials, perform preventive maintenance, and carry out basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs up to certain voltages. Work requires safety compliance and collaboration in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of Company provided Basic Technical Training Course within 18 months.
  • Two to five years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-change environment.

Responsibilities

  • Start and shut down injection molding machines.
  • Troubleshoot injection molding machines and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Assemble injection molds for production runs; perform mold changes.
  • Set up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal and ensure proper material traceability.
  • Provide molded components to meet production schedules; maintain setup records and run profiles.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment in assigned areas.
  • Carry out minor plumbing repairs and general repairs as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and use required PPE.

Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Starts and shuts down injection molding machines.Troubleshoots injection molding machines.Assembles injection molds from start to finish for production runs.Removes and installs plastic injection molds of varying sizes and complexities in molding machines according to work order specifications.Sets up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal.Ensures proper materials are used at each machine by managing raw molding materials ensuring traceability and preventing contamination.Provides molded components in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met.Maintains set-up records on tools, preventative maintenance and run profiles.Troubleshoots and makes repairs to Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Systems to a minimum of 120v unassisted and up to 480v assisted.Performs minor repairs to plumbing systems.Performs Preventive Maintenance on all equipment in assigned areas.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Basic understanding of Electrical systems.Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems using LOTO procedures.Ability to read and comprehend Technical Manuals for various types of manufacturing equipment.Ability to use CMMS, e-Mail, and various spreadsheet applications.Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in working with machinery.Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with determining necessary tool accuracy to be appropriate with given tolerances.Strong understanding of and ability to apply measurement methods to inspection and/or testing.Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED required.Two (2) to five (5) years Manufacturing experience in a semi-skilled position preferred.Completion of Company provided Basic Technical Training Course within 18 months.Experience working in fast pace, high change environment.Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:Exposure to machine noise.Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area.Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment.Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment.Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots.This role may require walking in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.Please submit your application via the ‘Apply’ button.
