Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL seeks an Engineering Technician with thermography certifications to perform NDE tasks. You will join a high-performing team of ~25 and support testing, reporting, and development of NDE capabilities for space and non-space applications.

Ideal candidate holds NAS-410 or ASNT Level II in thermography, with Level III preferred, and demonstrates adaptability, teamwork, and technical growth.

Qualifications

• NAS-410 or ASNT Level II certification in thermography preferred.
• Level III certification is preferred.
• US Citizenship proof required.
• Adaptability to changing tech development environments.
• Ability to work in a team with engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain NDE equipment including thermography cameras; troubleshoot and implement improvements.
• Maintain training and certifications in NDE techniques, including thermography.
• Learn other NDE methods (RT, CT, UT, PAUT, ET, PT, MT) as needed.
• Develop and follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Use CAD/software to generate and report test results.
• Interface with ESSCA engineers and NASA customers daily.
• Contribute to R&D to improve MSFC NDE capabilities.
• Work within the customer’s Engineering Work System for priorities.
• Conduct experiments using thermography and other NDE methods in various locations.
• Investigate anomalies and propose practical solutions.
• Ensure safe, high-quality operations through rigorous planning.
