Job summary

Amcor in Fremont, OH is seeking a Thermoforming Assistant to support daily production alongside experienced machine operators and learn the equipment and processes used to create high-quality packaging.

You will assist with setup, material loading, quality checks, and documentation, with a 12-hour day/night schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation.

No prior manufacturing experience is required, but mechanical aptitude and reliability are important; safety and GMP practices are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Manufacturing or production experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow work instructions and production schedules.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators with equipment setup, operation, and monitoring.
• Load raw materials and help keep production running smoothly.
• Inspect finished products for quality.
• Support machine changeovers, roll splices, and minor adjustments.
• Complete production documentation and report equipment or quality issues.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow safety, GMP, food-safety, and operating procedures.
• Build hands-on skills that can support continued growth in machine operation.
