Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a Thermoforming Technician for our Lawrence, KS facility. This role provides hands-on training in thermoforming and extrusion equipment, with opportunities to advance into higher‑level maintenance or process-focused positions.

Ideal candidates have a strong mechanical aptitude, reliable attendance, and the willingness to learn. The position requires the ability to lift and maneuver materials and to work second shift on a demanding production line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues.
• Dependable work history with strong attendance and punctuality.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety standards.
• Willingness to complete on-the-job training and demonstrate understanding of process responsibilities.
• Ability to accurately complete documentation and enter data into production systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate Thermoform equipment to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production.
• Perform start-up, shutdown, and cycling procedures for the entire thermoforming line, including extruder, former, and trim press.
• Troubleshoot and correct issues on the line to reduce downtime and scrap.
• Complete line changeovers and ensure all related documentation is filled out correctly.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations, including GMP, HACCP, SQF, ISO, and company policies.
• Record accurate production data in systems such as WebEFF.
• Support operators when issues arise, including assisting with defective parts and rework.
• Follow sanitation procedures, line clearance protocols, and equipment startup/shutdown checklists.
