Job summary

Genpak in Charlotte, NC seeks a Packaging Associate to operate thermoforming lines, communicate quality issues, and ensure correct packing quantities and materials. Responsibilities

• Pack on all thermoforming machines including auto packer.
• Ensure product meets quality standards.
• Ensure correct quantity is packed.
• Confirm packaging material matches quality docket requirements.
• Feed sheet through trim press as required.
• Assist with scrap removal around former for disposal.
• Clear packing table from end of roll to start of new roll debris.
• Perform simple machine procedures when operator is away.
• Break line (cut the sheet) at un-winder if needed.
• Understand basic operation of the machine.
• Understand safety features of the machine including E-stops and when to use them.
• Maintain quality knowledge of all products.
• Perform grinding duties to recycle scrap material.
• Make and stage boxes for packing throughout shift to meet demand.
• Communicate equipment or material issues to Packer and Supervisor.
• Perform end-of-shift duties such as sweeping, cleaning packing table, and assisting coworkers with grinding.
