Job summary

Genpak is seeking a Packaging Associate to operate thermoforming lines with minimal supervision and communicate quality issues. You will verify packaging, ensure correct quantities, and document material usage while following safety rules.

You will also perform simple machine procedures when needed, assist with scrap disposal, and support shift team by keeping packing areas clean and organized throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Experience packing on thermoforming lines and following quality specs.
• Ability to verify correct quantities and packaging materials.
• Understanding safety rules and machine safety features.

Responsibilities

• To pack on all thermoforming machines including auto packer.
• Ensure product meets quality standards.
• Ensure correct quantity is packed.
• Confirm packaging material matches quality docket requirements.
• Feed sheet through trim press as required.
• Help remove scrap from around former to disposal buggy.
• Clear packing table from end of roll/start of new roll debris.
• Perform simple machine procedures when operator away.
• Break line (cut the sheet) at un-winder if needed.
• Understand basic operation and safety features of the machine.
• Maintain quality knowledge of all products.
• Perform grinding to recycle scrap material.
• Make and stage boxes for packing throughout shift.
• Communicate equipment or material issues to Packer and Supervisor.
• Perform end of shift duties such as sweeping and cleaning.
