Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking engineers to advance its thermofluids R&D, owning cycle models and designing large-scale heat exchangers for frontier compute infrastructure. You will push the envelope on high‑GW cooling challenges, calibrate models against real machine data, and drive end‑to‑end validation from design to test.

The role requires independent ownership, urgent execution, and a passion for solving complex two‑phase heat transfer and high‑pressure fluid problems.

Qualifications

• You've built a thermodynamic cycle model from fluid properties up and defended its assumptions.
• You've sized real heat exchangers against published correlations.
• You've calibrated a model against machine datasheet or test data and reported gaps honestly.

Responsibilities

• Define the machine specification by owning the cycle model with working fluid, pressures, temperatures, and flows.
• Design heat exchangers with large surface areas and integrate them into the data center cycle.
• Develop the fluid system layout: piping, valves, headers, reliefs, and isolation.
• Evaluate operating points from exchanger ratings and verify against actual performance.
• Validate cycle predictions on test stands and identify discrepancies.
