Job summary

Varda Space Industries, Inc. in El Segundo, CA seeks a Thermofluids Engineer II to drive spacecraft thermal management design through analysis, test, and validation.

You will define performance metrics and hardware requirements for ground testing and flight. Day-to-day work includes sizing thermofluid networks, building 0D/1D models, and collaborating with payload, mechanical, software, and propulsion teams to meet vehicle requirements.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 1–3+ years experience in thermofluids.
• 1+ years experience in thermofluids or propulsion systems in manufacturing.
• Strong heat transfer and incompressible fluid mechanics fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop active thermal control systems for vehicle and payloads.
• Create fluid network models interfacing with top-level vehicle models.
• Define hardware/operational requirements from analysis and testing.
