Job summary

Katalyst CRO is seeking a Design & Development Engineer for Thermal Systems in Novi, MI. The role covers design, development, integration, and change management of automotive thermal systems including HVAC and piping.

You will establish physics-based requirements, coordinate with packaging, and drive engineering changes while ensuring timely deliverables with test teams across cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience working with engineering, packaging, suppliers, and test teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish physics-based component requirements for piping, HVAC, PTC, and thermal systems.
• Work with the packaging team on design and coordinate thermal system objectives.
• Ensure critical thermal system requirements are established and met.
• Responsible for design updates within the assigned thermal system area.
• Work with interface teams to balance and resolve system requirements.
• Collaborate with the design/release team to process engineering change orders.
• Take ownership of and implement component changes through the change management process.
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships for component issues and technical communications.
• Work with test engineers to establish appropriate test plans.
• Complete engineering deliverables on time to support the product development process.
