Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Thermal System Controls Developer to design and implement software and control logic for system-level thermal controls and optimization solutions across CDU systems, pumps, chillers, and heat rejection equipment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize platforms, develop reusable blocks, and support field deployment including testing, commissioning, and remote troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or technical field.
• Experience in industrial automation and HVAC/thermal controls.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and IEC 61131-3 languages.
• Strong Python scripting for automation and data handling.
• Experience with HMI/GUI and SCADA platforms.
• Knowledge of Modbus TCP, BACnet, MQTT protocols.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control diagrams.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and control logic for system-level thermal controls and optimization solutions.
• Support software for platforms like Chilled Water Manager, Optimizer, and secondary fluid network manager.
• Write, test and maintain PLC/control code (Codesys, IEC 61131-3).
• Develop tools and automation utilities using Python.
• Develop GUI/HMI interfaces, dashboards and operator workflows.
• Implement control strategies for hydronic and liquid cooling systems.
• Create reusable software modules for scalable deployment.
• Support customer-specific customization and project architecture.
