CTS, Inc. Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Thermal Spray Technician to perform coating operations on critical components using Combustion, Plasma, HVOF or Electric Arc systems. You will follow drawings and plans and own tasks from start to finish.

The role is first shift, 4 x 10-hour days, and involves part preparation, coating, inspection, material handling, shipping/receiving, and shop support. CTS encourages cross-training and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR (provide a U.S. passport, birth certificate, green card, or naturalization certificate)
• Able to pass a background check and DOT drug screening
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to doing things right the first time
• Self-motivated individual who enjoys a hands-on, multi-skilled manufacturing environment
• Ability to work 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday (4 x 10-hour schedule)

Responsibilities

• Operate and become certified in Combustion, Plasma, HVOF (High Velocity Oxy-Fuel), and/or Electric Arc thermal spray systems
• Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and process plans to ensure precision and quality
• Prepare parts for coating through masking, blasting, and related pre-coating operations
• Inspect completed work and complete required production documentation
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Support production activities including material handling, shipping/receiving, cleanup, and other shop operations as needed
• Work independently while contributing to a small, team-oriented operation

What You'll Do:

As a Thermal Spray Technician, you'll be hands-on in our core process, applying advanced coatings that protect and enhance critical components. Unlike larger operations where responsibilities are divided among multiple departments, our technicians are involved throughout the production process and take ownership of their work from start to finish.

You'll:

This is not a booth-only spraying position.

Our technicians are cross-trained and involved in multiple aspects of the production process, including part preparation, coating application, inspection, material handling, shipping/receiving, and general shop support. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to help the team succeed.

What We're Looking For:

• 18+ years of age
