This role is remote.

Role Overview

We seek a Senior Engineer, Thermal Management Systems, capable of designing, analyzing, and evaluating turbomachinery components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and program requirements. Initially an individual contributor, the role offers growth into leadership as the organization expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Fundamentals of heat transfer knowledge.
• Experience with thermal finite element analysis (steady and transient) using ANSYS Workbench, emphasizing first principles to support complex analyses.
• Lead engine system, component, and rig test programs from hardware design perspective, including setting objectives, instrumentation, and data requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in component design within a diverse system team, ensuring durability and meeting requirements, coordinating stress and life analyses, and optimizing designs.
• Lead design reviews, coordinate with various disciplines, and ensure proper documentation.
• Work with suppliers on hardware procurement and quality issues.
• Participate in R&D of additive design technologies and methodologies.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in gas turbine component design.
• Proficiency with CAD, ANSYS, and familiarity with additive manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork skills.
