Job summary

Etched seeks a Thermal Lab Lead to build and maintain a world-class thermal lab for testing high-performance data center products. You will interface with engineers, manage test setups, and ensure data quality and reporting against objectives and acceptance criteria.

You will develop automation tooling, coordinate cross-team testing, and plan future lab capabilities with facilities. This role requires hands-on ownership and strong organizational skills to meet aggressive timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Hands-on experience testing single-phase liquid-cooled assemblies.
• Ability to build and troubleshoot test setups and document results.
• Experience with test automation and data-analysis workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day thermal lab operations, including test benches, equipment, and consumables inventory.
• Develop test plans and procedures in partnership with thermal engineering.
• Own test setup, instrumentation, execution, data-quality review, and reporting against objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and validate automation tools for test execution, data acquisition, and analysis.
• Coordinate testing requests across multiple teams, set priorities with stakeholders, and forecast bottlenecks.
• Lead thermal technicians, assign testing activities, and provide technical guidance.
