Job summary

Antares in Torrance, CA seeks an analyst to build and run thermal-fluids models of reactor components, ensuring designs meet thermal, mechanical, and performance requirements in extreme environments. You will work closely with design and test teams to drive iterative improvements.

You will develop internal tools, mentor engineers, and support test campaigns with instrumentation selection and data analysis in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar technical discipline.
• Experience building and running CFD models using commercial codes (Fluent, CFX, Star-CCM+).
• Experience CAD design modification and defeaturing (Siemens NX or similar).
• Experience in Python, MATLAB, VBA, or other scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Assess subcomponent designs for pressure drop, heat transfer, and performance using hand-calcs, in-house tools, and CFD.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to provide sizing guidance and design feedback.
• Document analytical results and communicate assumptions and limitations to stakeholders.
• Support test engineers with collaborative test design, instrumentation selection, and data review.
• Develop internal tools and calculators for rapid analytical assessments.
• Provide technical mentorship across teams.
