Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience in thermal engineering, CFD, or simulation.
• Expert-level proficiency in AEDT and Icepak within AEDT.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation and workflow optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop simulation models and capabilities to convert power maps into thermal outputs.
• Perform advanced thermal and CFD simulations to evaluate boundary conditions at component, subsystem, and system levels.
• Utilize industry-standard simulation tools and solvers to develop accurate thermal models and generate simulation results.
• Develop optimized workflows, reusable templates, and automated processes for recurring thermal simulations.
• Establish and implement best practices for thermal modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Collaborate with simulation software vendors to identify and drive functionality improvements.
• Explore advanced simulation methodologies and optimization techniques, including topology optimization.
• Extract Reduced Order Models (ROMs) from CFD simulations to accelerate design exploration and performance studies.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT), Icepak, thermal modeling, and scripting, with experience in electronics cooling and system-level thermal analysis.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience in thermal engineering, CFD, or simulation.
• Strong foundation in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), heat transfer, and thermal modeling.
• Mandatory: Expert-level proficiency in Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT) and Icepak within AEDT.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for simulation automation and workflow optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or PhD degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Familiarity with Cadence Allegro and electronic layout design.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion cells, battery packs, and battery thermal management.
• Experience with NX and/or COMSOL simulation tools.
• Hands-on experience in electronics cooling and thermal management.
• Experience with Reduced Order Modeling (ROM), simulation automation, and advanced optimization techniques.
