Join a global leader as a Thermal Design Engineer! This full-time, direct-hire role will conduct thermal research, design, and engineering projects at the company’s Laconia, NH facility.

Responsibilities of the Thermal Design Engineer

• Conduct two-phase fluid flow and heat transfer research, and apply it to the development of new electronics cooling products
• Evaluate customer challenges and requirements, and propose design solutions
• Conduct theoretical analyses, design sizing, and CFD simulations; interpret and communicate results and recommend the best design approach
• Assist with writing design proposals, marketing materials, and technical papers

Qualifications of the Thermal Design Engineer

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, and graduate level work in two-phase flow and heat transfer theoretical, experimental, and computational methods
• Strong foundation in other heat transfer modes like conduction, convection, and radiation
• Hands-on work in a heat transfer research or test lab
• A strong understanding of the fundamental physics of heat transfer, mass transfer, and fluid flow including two-phase flow and heat transfer
• Familiarity with modeling and conducting CFD simulations, preferably including two-phase flow and heat transfer
