Job summary

Stellar Energy Americas Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer to support proposal, design, and execution across energy and data center markets. The role covers weather-based thermal design calculations, performance modelling, and technical support for bids and client engagements.

The position reports to the Director Application Engineering and requires strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and energy systems. Travel may be required for factory and site visits.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with focus on thermodynamics, heat transfer, or energy systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Advanced Excel skills, especially with macros and VBA.
• Familiarity with design procedures and cross-disciplinary communication.
• Familiarity with engineering deliverables (P&IDs, SLDs, GA).
• 3+ years of experience in thermal design and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Undertake engineering and design work independently.
• Analyze and determine optimum weather design point per project location.
• Design and specify processes around the optimum design point.
• Develop and improve thermal performance analysis tools.
• Analyze financial advantages and communicate results to leadership.
• Present and review technical solutions with clients.
• Support business development with studies on products and services.
• Participate in bid support, presentations, and evaluations.
• Provide technical support to sales for bids and proposals.
• Create ROI models for bid strategies and external materials.
